Electronic sphygmomanometer is a medical device that uses electronic technology and indirect blood pressure measurement principle to measure blood pressure. The electronic blood pressure meter is divided into arm type, wrist type and watch type; Its electronic technology has undergone the development of the first generation (mechanical constant speed exhaust valve), the second generation (electronic servo valve), the third generation (pressurized synchronous measurement), and the fourth generation (integrated gas circuit). It usually consists of a blocking cuff, a sensor (barometer), an electromagnetic valve, an inflation pump, and a measuring circuit. Blood pressure measurement usually uses oscillographic methods, similar to the principle of non-invasive indirect blood pressure measurement.
The vast majority of sphygmomanometer and electronic sphygmomanometer measure blood pressure indirectly by oscillometry. Oscillographic blood pressure measurement is used to determine blood pressure by establishing the relationship between systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, uniform blood pressure, and cuff pressure oscillation waves.
Principle of electronic sphygmomanometer
The design scheme of electronic sphygmomanometer adopts the principle of oscillography, that is, the cuff is worn on the arm, and different electronic sphygmomanometer are worn in slightly different positions. After correctly wearing the cuff, the electronic sphygmomanometer automatically pressurizes and inflates, and then begins to deflate. In this process, the electronic sphygmomanometer can directly measure the pressure and fluctuation of the blood flowing through the blood vessels., After receiving these data fluctuations, the pressure sensor amplifies and processes them, and then outputs the measurement results on the LCD display screen.
